I am Elena, the bride, born and raised in Padova, occasionally citizen of the world. I met Stefano 8 years ago during a chemists' night out, and since then neither the many Brescian "pota" or "fes", nor Erasmus/distance, nor my cooking incapability, nor the weekends spent on a softball field could ever draw us apart. I believe in love that gets stronger with time, I believe there's nothing better than discovering the world with the people you love, and I believe that when you find a person that can calm you down even in the worst moments, then that is going to be your person for a loooong time. And I am pretty sure that person is the one standing in the groom section on the right.
I am the groom, twenty-nine years old and I often get asked:”what’s the weather like up there?”. I come from a little village near Brescia, where there is a frequent use of the untranslatable word “pota”, but after so many years of Erasmus in the Padova lands I am actually a fluent B2 level able to use properly the closed vowels of the venetian phonetics. Here, eight years ago, I met the love of my life (See Section Bride for details) and since then we started this wonderful, full of surprises journey together.
We will say our fateful "Yes" in front of our loved ones, our friends and everyone close to us at the Church of "Madonna Addolorata al Torresino", at 4.00 pm.
Celebrations will take place after the ceremony, under the wide porches, in the beautiful decorated rooms and in the charming park of Villa Godi Piovene.
For those who would like to contribute to our honeymoon, which will lead us to discover the history and nature of Perù, and the sunny beaches of Aruba.
